In a world where convenience is key, Royal Caribbean Group is redefining the guest experience before travelers even step foot on their ships. Thanks to the innovative Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises apps, guests can now seamlessly plan their vacation with ease. From booking specialty dining reservations and shore excursions to scheduling entertainment shows, the app ensures virtually everything can be taken care of before boarding.

Today, with just a few taps on their smartphone, guests can choose their check-in window, complete boarding questionnaires, upload boarding documents and even submit security photos to ensure the boarding process in the terminal flows effortlessly, setting the tone for the vacation ahead.

Beyond streamlining check-ins, the app revolutionizes safety protocols, offering guests an easier way to complete the mandatory Muster drill. Prior to the app’s introduction, guests had to interrupt or delay the start of their vacation to physically report to their Muster stations for required lifejacket demonstrations and safety briefings. Now, with the “Muster 2.0” feature, guests can watch safety videos and lifejacket demonstrations on their phone on their own time, visiting their Muster station once they board to complete the requirements in a fraction of the time.

The apps are packed with additional features designed to enhance the overall cruising experience. They provide essential information such as port and terminal details, embarkation and debarkation guidelines and hotel and transportation options. Guests can also access videos on special ship features and unique initiatives like Royal Caribbean Group’s OceanScope partnership with the University of Miami, which uses several of the Group’s ships to collect information on our oceans and provide the data to scientists around the world.

One popular feature of the app is it’s in-app chat function, which allows guests to message members of their travel party without needing a Wi-Fi package (though Wi-Fi can also be purchased through the app). This is particularly useful for families or groups looking to stay connected on board.

The ease of access and depth of functionality makes these apps great for first-time cruisers and cruising veterans alike.

The Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises app are available for free downloaded on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, ensuring that a stress-free vacation is just a click away.
