At Royal Caribbean Group, the goal isn’t just to deliver the vacation of a lifetime – it’s to turn every vacation into the first of many unforgettable journeys. So, when the opportunity to expand its portfolio of private destinations surfaced, the Group’s answer was a resounding “yes.” After all, what better way to elevate already iconic brands than by crafting new, extraordinary experiences for guests to indulge in? Royal Caribbean International recently announced the development of their newest private destination, Perfect Day Mexico, set to open in 2027 along the stunning coastline of Mahahual, Mexico. It will offer a combination of Royal Caribbean’s adrenaline-pumping thrills and ways to chill with the beauty and vibrancy of Mexico.
Perfect Day Mexico will be a hallmark of Royal Caribbean vacations that introduces new adventures in the western Caribbean for those sailing out of Galveston, TX and Tampa, FL. With more details to be revealed, guests can expect a world-class waterpark; jaw-dropping pools and beaches, diverse dining options; live music and more, setting a new standard for adventure and relaxation
This newest addition to the Group’s private destinations will also be a modern, sustainable destination. The development reflects a longstanding partnership with Mexico’s government and local communities, reinforcing Royal Caribbean’s role in bringing vacationers from around the world to Mexico well into the future. This project is also a direct extension of Royal Caribbean Group’s SEA the Future commitment, focusing on delivering the best vacation experiences responsibly while sustaining the planet, energizing communities and accelerating innovation.
Adding to an already impressive lineup of private destinations, Royal Caribbean Group will unveil the Royal Beach Club Collection, starting with the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas, opening in 2025, followed by Royal Beach Club Cozumel in 2026. And with Labadee, Haiti, vacationers will have even more ways to create their perfect vacation days across The Bahamas and the eastern and western Caribbean.
Construction on The Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is currently underway, following a groundbreaking ceremony in April 2024. The construction plans, created in close collaboration with the Bahamian government, include Royal Caribbean’s restoration of the native habitat to help protect wildlife and ensure environmental sustainability for many years to come. Guiding the overall development of the beach club experience are Royal Caribbean Group’s sustainability vision, as well as The Bahamas’ stringent environmental protection and planning process.
Because a cornerstone of the SEA the Future initiative is community empowerment, the development of Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is being built with the guidance and insight of Bahamian locals and authorities. Local businesses and entrepreneurs will manage parts of the construction and experience, which will generate hundreds of jobs in the short and long term. To date, Bahamians have participated in workshops to develop authentic local dishes, music, entertainment, sports and activities as well as design ideas that ensure every aspect of the beach club is infused with Bahamian spirit and style.
Meanwhile, Perfect Day at CocoCay is now welcoming Celebrity Cruises, offering its guests access to this incredibly popular private island. The recent addition of Hideaway Beach, an adults-only retreat, has quickly become a highlight for vacationers aboard Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas, and Celebrity’s Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Reflection.
As Royal Caribbean Group builds a legacy of iconic private destinations, deepens ties with local communities and creates unparalleled vacation experiences, the only question remaining is, “where will they take you next?”
