Silversea, the leader in experiential luxury and expedition travel, continues to expand its horizons with the recent announcement of the Southernmost Hotel on Earth. Set to open in 2025, this hotel marks the latest development for the cruise line, facilitating a frictionless journey for guests looking to sail to Antarctica. Silversea, known for its numerous accolades and awards, enhances its reputation as the leader in experiential luxury with the launch of new worldwide voyages and the development of the southernmost hotel. The journey continues for Silversea.

The Southernmost Hotel on Earth

The hotel’s announcement follows the discovery of a need for smoother, easier travel to Antarctica.  It will provide Silversea guests with the fastest and most direct route to the frozen continent when they embark on the innovative Antarctica Bridge fly-cruise program. The 150-room hotel, situated in Lakutaia, will be a luxurious base camp for guests before they embark on their Antarctic voyage.  Overlooking the Beagle Channel and surrounded by pristine forests, the hotel will feature views of the water and snow-capped Patagonian mountains. An expansive restaurant for group gatherings, a bar and lounge, state-of-the-art fitness center and gift shop featuring arts and handmade crafts from local artists will be the perfect way for Silversea guests to pass the time before their voyage.

As the only cruise line that homeports in Puerto Williams during the Antarctica season, Silversea is bringing comfort and luxury to travelers looking to explore the least visited continent in the world. Puerto Williams is the southernmost point on Earth, located in the sub-Antarctic zone of the Patagonia region of Chile, making this hotel’s location the ideal spot for adventurous travelers who still want Silversea’s luxury and hospitality.

Awards Season for Silversea

Silversea continues to be recognized for its commitment to luxury, warm hospitality and personalized service. Recently, the experiential cruise line received the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Award for Best Cruise Line (Expedition). Silversea also adds to its trophy shelf with an award from the Kreuzfahrt Guide Awards, securing the top spot for the Service/Comfort category. If that wasn’t enough, Silversea has won “Best Ocean Cruise Line,” “Consumer Favorite Wellness,” “Ultra-luxury Cruise Line of the Year” (for three consecutive years) and “Expedition/Adventure Cruise Line of the Year,” just to name a few. Their list of constantly growing accolades is one of the longest in the industry, and with the addition of the southernmost hotel, it’s expected to grow even more.
