June 25 is Seafarer’s Day, a special occasion to honor and celebrate the invaluable contributions of seafarers worldwide to trade and the global economy.  At Royal Caribbean Group, the dedicated crew across all brands are proudly recognized for working tirelessly to create unforgettable vacation experiences for guests.   

A seafarer is anyone employed to serve aboard a marine vessel, and for the crew, this means working onboard some of the most stunning and meticulously crafted ships. Royal Caribbean Group employs nearly 100,000 crew members from more than 130 nationalities, creating a vibrant community at sea. The brand’s global fleet sails to more than 1,000 across all continents, offering guests and crew the chance to explore the world together. 

Being part of the crew opens doors to endless opportunities. Royal Caribbean Group is strongly committed to ensuring crew members are well supported and equipped with the tools they need to succeed. In addition, for students pursuing degrees in Marine Engineering or Transportation to become part of the crew, Royal Caribbean Group provides full-tuition scholarships through the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF). 

And it doesn’t stop there – through the Fain Scholarship, Royal Caribbean Group employees and their families are empowered to further their education with university, vocational or technical programs.

To celebrate Seafarer’s Day, Royal Caribbean Group launched a special “Thank You” video series where shoreside employees expressed their gratitude to crew all over the world. Additionally, crew members across the fleet will enjoy special celebrations onboard.
